Honestly, if you love tights that truly enhance the legs, stay till the end, because Calzedonia has wowed me again. We often talk about dresses, about heels, and we forget this little accessory that nonetheless changes a whole winter silhouette. I received four pairs, four styles, four moods, and I’ll show you how I pair them, because a pair of tights isn’t chosen alone, it’s matched. Grab a coffee, let’s unpack these little marvels together.
The black floral tights, the most romantic
We start with the most delicate, a black tight in fine fishnet adorned with flowers, refined and soft to wear.
How I wear it
It has that little romantic and elegant side that enhances the leg, and it pairs just as well with a skirt as with a dress. On the shoe side, I tried it with open patent heels over a black dress, then with a pair of Vivaia trainers, the Snakerina Christina with satin laces, to break up the style a little. Small confession, I made a hole pulling them on despite all my precautions… such is the life of fine tights.
The burgundy Deluxe tights, the favourite
On to my favourite, an ultra-refined burgundy tight from the Deluxe collection, in floral lace.
The detail that slims
This one gives you endless legs, with a little line at the back that refines the line even more. The lace is superb, a little more robust than the first, and its elasticated waist makes it comfortable all day long, without ever bothering. It’s exactly the kind of tight that dresses up a very simple outfit, here a Zara skirt and body set, and there you have it. No wonder it’s all the rage right now.
The diamond-pattern tights, the most structured
On we go with a very fine tight with a checked diamond pattern, which structures the leg and elongates it nicely.
Romantic no, graphic yes
Here, we leave the romantic for something graphic, more modern, more assertive. Careful, it’s so fine you have to watch out for nails. I paired it with a Zara skort and a very elegant Lily Studio shirt, with its pretty details, then twisted it with the Vivaia trainers for a relaxed touch. Heels or trainers, both work surprisingly well.
The wide fishnet, the most rock
And we finish with the boldest, a wide fishnet tight, which brings a real rock side.
To keep for the right setting
This one, I don’t see with stilettos without risking the vulgar, so I own it differently, with a faux-leather skirt, a flowing shirt and ankle boots, for that rock style we love. Honestly, the wide fishnet is a bit of a pain to put on with all those holes, but the result is worth it. A shiny derby with a little bow, and the look is complete.
Four tights, four looks
So there are my four Calzedonia favourites, from the most tender to the most rock, and the proof that a simple tight can redraw a whole silhouette. For the shoes, my faithful Vivaia had the code WILDY12, and my Cosy Island heels the code YT10WILDY, I’ll slip them to you in passing. Tell me which of the four you’d wear first.
