Halara, My Comfort Essentials for Late Summer

The key takeaway: I discovered the Halara brand, clothes designed with sportswear techniques but tailored for everyday life, comfortable and suited to every body shape. Seven pieces tried on live, a midi dress with pockets, stretch trousers, a high-waisted white jean that stole my heart, an elegant jacket, a long skirt with a built-in short. My honest verdict, including on the sizing that runs large. Caroline’s code is WILDYC for 15% across the whole site.

Let’s say it plainly, I’m curious by nature, and when the Halara brand offered me a collaboration, I told myself, for once, go on, let’s discover. Their clothes are made using sportswear techniques, but designed for everyday life, comfortable and suited to every silhouette. I opened the parcel live with you, without looking at anything beforehand, to give you my first impressions unfiltered. Seven pieces on the programme, so you can imagine this promises some lovely try-ons.

Halara, sportswear that turns elegant

A word on the spirit of the brand. Halara creates clothes that are comfortable and versatile, built from technical fabrics drawn from sport, that you can wear travelling, at work, in just about any situation. And what touched me is this idea that you don’t have to choose between feeling at ease and having style.

The sizing point, important. Several pieces run large. On the trousers, I’d ordered the M, and it was clearly too wide, the S would have been perfect. If you’re a 36-38, go for the S. This kind of detail saves a lot of disappointment at the try-on moment.

The midi dress, my first joy

We begin with a dress in a very pleasant sporty fabric, which immediately reminded me of the leotards from my years of classical dance at the conservatory.

Comfort, pockets and a little side slit

It’s lined, with removable padding for the bust (which I took out, I prefer the natural look), and above all, a pocket on each side, which is wonderfully practical. A small slit on the side brings a sensual touch with nothing showy about it. Comfortable, elegant, the right length, it joins my wardrobe without hesitation.

The trousers, between favourites and false sizes

The navy trouser with fine stripes is extremely stretchy, really pleasant, but too big in M. Same remark for the sea-green trouser, more flowing and light, whose cut I really like despite the badly chosen size. The lesson is clear, on these models, I go down a size.

The white jean, the real revelation

And then there’s this high-waisted white jean, taken in S this time, and there, everything changes. The high waist nicely refines the silhouette, two back pockets that I love, a fabric that stays so stretchy you can cross your legs, sit down, stretch without the slightest discomfort. Comfortable, stylish, tailored to survive all kinds of days. My true favourite of the selection.

The jacket and the skirt, comfort all the way

The clever skirt. The long skirt is slit all the way up, but rest assured, a short is built into the inside. Even in a strong wind or while running, no bad memories to fear. Well held without squeezing, it’s the ideal option for those who never dare a skirt for fear of feeling restricted.

The jacket, in a lovely colour, is so comfortable and elegant that I more than approve, with just one small reservation, the lack of pockets, which I would have appreciated. Its buttons are decorative, it doesn’t fasten, but it beautifully dresses up a very simple outfit. The long skirt picks up the flowing fabric of the dress and drapes wonderfully.

A discovery that keeps its promises

What delights me most, deep down, is that these pieces really match what the site showed, no bad surprise in colour or cut. And even though it’s a collaboration, my verdict stays honest, if it had been disappointing, I’d have told you, as I’ve done before. The brand even offers a Halara circle to try the clothes for free and give your feedback, a lovely way of favouring quality over waste. Caroline’s code is WILDYC for 15% across the whole site.
